Jen Stock~ Owner and Instructor

Having been raised in a family who's motos were "Just Keep Moving", "Keep On Keeping On" and "Go Make Some Memories" its not surprising that Jen found a love and passion for Fitness and encouraging people to have a good time while working out.  After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Jen moved to the island of Kauai, HI where for 23 years had opportunities to work in different types of Fitness Facilities...slowing gaining knowledge and ideas for her own studio.  Jen is grateful everyday to be back home sharing what she loves to do with the community she grew up in.

As Registered Nurse, Diabetic educator & Chronic disease health coach,  my passions for healthy living, nutrition, science, Ayurveda & fitness, naturally drew me to begin  a consistent yoga practice in 2011.  This practice, along with the philosophy of yoga, have  become essential parts of who I am and how I do life.  

After enjoying the benefits of my own personal yoga practice, I embarked on the journey to gain a RYT 200 hour certification at the Yoga Loft in Sonora.  I have loved sharing my passion for yoga through teaching yoga at the Body Shop in Angels Camp.    

I teach a Hatha style, slow flow yoga practice that connects, breath work, mediation with attention to anatomy & proper alignment.  My style is Slow Flow, meaning that more time is spent in each posture to allow more personal exploration, relaxation & inquiry. Each class includes a mix of Ayurvedic principles, essential oils, guided meditation and a challenging yoga sequence to build physical strength, increase flexibility and the mind-body connection with a goal to feel better in one’s own body.  

The yoga tenet of ‘Saucha’, which translates to “cleanliness or purity” guides me and is a continual goal of my yoga instruction.  Saucha helps us to remember who we are at our core when we burn away distractions & obstacles.  Yoga and other mindfulness practices, such as meditation are vehicles that connection to our mind, body & spirit with the goal to bring us more peace, awareness and understanding of ourselves and the world we live in.
